About Us...

A family vacation...a semester abroad...
Yet another business trip...

is the first stop on every journey.

How we began...
Chris and Jean Gallati love to travel. As they traveled throughout Europe and the United States for pleasure and business, they experienced firsthand the need for a "one-stop" travel store; one where you could get everything for your journey. And so, WHERE IN THE WORLD was conceived. Knowing that it took more than just luggage, books and maps for a successful trip, Chris and Jean began assembling an inventory of original and the hard-to-find travel items. Meanwhile, Chris and Jean moved from a couple to a family and their travel changed. Their quest grew to include travel toys and items for children and families. By late 1998, WHERE IN THE WORLD opened its doors, specializing in practical and hard-to-find items for all kinds of travels.

Travels and so much more!
Of course WHERE IN THE WORLD is more than just a travel store, here's a sampling of what we do...

• CORPORATE ACCOUNTS:
Our corporate accounts that have come to depend on us for our one-of-kind gift sets and relocation and/or welcoming packs.

• ADOPTIVE PARENTS:
Soon-to-be parents come for specific information and travel necessities for their trip abroad to meet their new child. They also appreciate our multi-cultural selection of toys for their very special family addition.

• TEACHERS:
As educators prepare units on various countries they find a diverse selection of software, books, and playthings that introduce children of all ages to similarities, differences, and traditions from all over the world.
